Katie has joined the Consumer Marketing Team in a newly created role as a Marketing & Customer Experience Associate, where she will be supporting the growing digital marketing & consumer communication efforts, as well as assisting the Customer Experience Team in crossover areas.Katie joins Healthy Pet with valuable experience in marketing communications via social and other digital platforms. “Katie will be a great asset to us as we continue to grow our digital presence and establish a deeper connection with our consumer through social channels and an omni-channel marketing strategy,” said Jane Wasley, Head of Consumer Marketing for Healthy Pet.
Katie and her husband Eric live in Lynden, WA with their daughter Sariah and a Golden Retriever named Maverick. “I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working as a part of the Marketing team at Healthy Pet,” states Katie. “I am excited to focus on digital marketing efforts as well as the overall customer experience.”
Carroll Ballard is the newest member of the Healthy Pet Customer Experience team. The skill set Carroll brings with her from previous work with non-profit organizations and their donors translates well to providing a “Best in Class” experience for Healthy Pet’s internal and external customers. “Her calm, friendly demeanor will allow her to interface and connect with consumers, for mutually beneficial outcomes,” states Sandy Bring, Customer Experience Supervisor.Healthy Pet’s sustainable, natural approach to manufacturing aligns with Carroll’s personal values and her feline companion, Leroi, who is looking forward to becoming an ökofan.
Both new hires are an integral part of Healthy Pet’s rapid company growth as they strive to provide the very best, sustainable products for pet parents.

Ferndale, WA (August, 2018) – After being approved by the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges, Healthy Pet has collaborated with Whatcom Community College and Impact Washington to receive funding through the Job Skills Program Grant. This has enabled Healthy Pet to provide free training courses to its employees arming them with valuable job skill learnings.
The Job Skills Program provides funding for customized, short-term and job-specific training for eligible businesses using dollar-for-dollar matching grants.
The Job Skills Program supports three types of training projects, each a tool to enhance the competitiveness of Washington’s businesses and industries and increasing employment opportunities. These types include new employee training and retraining or upgrade training that draw trainees from a company’s current workforce.
Free continuing education for employees is a unique benefit gladly offered by Healthy Pet. These current Job Skill courses foster growth and encourage professional development. Subjects range from a course on the fundamentals of leadership to a series of courses focused on lean implementation.
Customer Experience Supervisor, Sandy Bring, is achieving professional growth from this program by learning more about excel, outlook, and leadership. Bring reflects on her experience saying, “The courses I took invigorated and energized me to start thinking about what kind of working environment to create for my team. Ultimately, I want to have a culture that leads to team effort on developing new ideas and strategies for helping Healthy Pet maintain ‘Best in Class’ status, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.”

Ferndale, WA (August, 2018) - Healthy Pet is proud to welcome Pam Moser as the new Head of West Coast Operations/Ferndale Plant Manager. As plant manager, Moser will be responsible for all production, manufacturing and maintenance activities at the Ferndale plant. She is well suited for this challenging position with a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from the University of Nebraska and a Master’s in Business Administration.
Moser started her career as a quality control technician at a large manufacturing facility while attaining her degree from the University of Nebraska. This was her connection to manufacturing and she enjoyed the diversity of the workforce, the energy in the manufacturing process and all of the varied activities, from new product introductions to the rewards of putting everything together resulting in a value added offering for the customer.
Healthy Pet is excited about what Moser adds to the manufacturing team. She brings 30 years of experience in manufacturing management with a large share of those years as a Plant Manager with Eaton Corporation, a $20 billion dollar manufacturer of electrical and industrial power systems. Her career started with Eaton as a Quality Manager and rapidly moved though a succession of manufacturing roles and finally, to a Plant Manager position at a $100 million manufacturing facility employing over 400 operational personnel. Pam is well versed in Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement management concepts and the application of these concepts in attaining operational excellence.
