Rated 5 out of 5 by mattandmichelle from We have officially made the switch to okocat We have multiple indoor cats and we go through a lot of litter. We have tried it all at one time of another, and there is one thing that I can say without hesitation. Not all litters are created equal. I was excited to try this product because it is natural and I would feel better about using this than the traditional clay litter. I wasn't sure if my cats would all adapt to it though. It turns out that there was no hesitation whatsoever. My cats quickly adopted it. We don't have that pesky litter dust that we do with clay, this litter is lightweight (and even flushable) and it does a great job naturally covering up odors. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jwls from Incredible Litter I have 3 adult cats & nothing kept the urine odor at bay until I tried Okocat wood litter. I was very skeptical at first as I've tried multiple litters with the same poor results. Also I wondered how my cats wood take to using a litter made of wood. Not just one cat would have to adjust but 3!!!!! I was pleasantly surprised when all 3 cats used the box with no hesitation. I was elated when there was NO odor. Not immediately after using the box nor a week later. 2 weeks later, nothing. Weeks 3-6, NO SMELL. I'm sold on Okocat wood cat litter & the superb odor control it provides. We've switched over for good, thank you Okocat. Love Ruby, Rose & Nagchampa

Rated 5 out of 5 by smittenkitten from Great litter I purchased two boxes of this litter at unleashed by petco because there was a sale buy 2 for some amount that I can't remember but it was cheap. Anyway, here is some background: I have 2 cats and 1 has asthma so dust free or very low dust is a MUST. I have used MANY litters (blue buffalo, dr. elseys regular and for respiratory, petco brand, yesterdays news, nexgen, etc.). The things i look for are no/low dust, clumping, eco friendly, helps with smell, reasonable price and low tracking. 1. This litter and the other litters from this brand are pretty low dust. My cat's asthma isn't exasperated by this litter like it was with other litters. I know that it is low dust because when I look at my cat's legs when he comes out of the box, it is not all over his legs. When I used the blue buffalo litter, you could see the lower half of his leg would have litter dust. 2. The clumping action is good. It doesn't give hard clumps like you would get with a clay litter but I honestly prefer the softer clumps because it doesn't cake on the side of the litter box like the clay ones do. I can just wipe the litter box clean with a little bit of diluted vinegar on a towel. No more scrubbing or soaking like I had to with clay litters. 3. This litter is free of harmful chemicals, additives and synthetic scents. Comes from trees, reclaimed fallen timber and unused lumber materials. 4. This has pretty good odor control. I never smell urine but my one cat does not cover her poops so it does smell if they don't cover their business. My other cat does cover his poops and it smells for a bit but then goes away. 5. I don't think I have ever paid full price for this litter. Coupons seem to always be available and deals at unleashed. Chewy.com also has really good prices for this litter. 6. The only issue I have with this litter is tracking. It tracks MUCH less than other litters I have tried that are not pellets. Pellets track the least. I don't really use an actual litter mat so that could be part of the problem. I have noticed that the litter does not track all over the house but still does track. I really want to try the longhair clumping Okocat litter which I will have to purchase online since I have not been able to find it in store. I really like this brand and will continue to purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jopfoh from Works Like a heavyweight without the weight I have 6 cats and I have severe arthritis. I was looking for an alternative to clay because I have such a difficult time lifting the boxes and I wanted something better for the environment. A friend recommended Okocat and I have been using it ever since. It is extremely lightweight and I love that it is made with wood instead of clay. My cats love it and I am so impressed with the odor control. It has superior clumping, no dust and the fact that it is biodegradable is remarkable. I will never go back to clay.

How often should I change the cat litter?
It depends on how many cats you have and how often they use it, but on average we recommend changing out the entire box every 4-6 weeks.

What is the difference between the Featherweight and Super Soft clumping wood litter?
They are very similar. Featherweight is just slightly lighter in density and has wood and plant particles in it. It is only available at unleashed by Petco stores or online at Petco.com.

my cat has medium length hair-what would be the best to use
For medium or long hair breeds, we recommend using the okocat wood clumping for long hair which has a larger, denser pellet that won't get stuck in their fur and dragged outside the litter box.

What plant particles are you using in this? Is it corn? I try to stay away from the corn litters.
