Rated 5 out of 5 by from It can’t get any better than this! Okay, first of all this is incredibly soft! My hamsters’ burrows all stay up extremely well! Non of my pets are litter trained so the poo is everywhere but CareFresh does an amazing job and keeping the Odor down! Since I have large cages and spot clean daily, one cage lasts an entire month! With small animals, it is incredibly important to have a low dust bedding and this gets the job just right! The variety in size pieces makes it easy for my critters to nest. They grab the larger flakes and make a nice comfortable nest! It’s amazing! You need to at least try this! Your pet will thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Works Great! My friend and I have a rat rescue, it is small. No tax free status yet, so we have a hard time getting donations for food and litter. We also have a rabbit in foster care, and try to help other rat owners to keep their beloved pets. This would really help..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect bedding for my rabbits and hamster! This in the only product that I use for my rabbits and hamster. I’ve had issues in the past with one of my rabbits digging all her litter out of the box, since I changed her to Carefresh she has completely stopped and loves to lay in it. I also use it for my hamster, it does everything I wanted it to! He loves to tunnel in it, and use it as nesting material. It’s also a great product for me as an owner because it makes cleaning the cages easier because it’s super absorbent and controls Oder well, considering how light and fluffy it is, it packs a big punch! The first thing that drew me to this product was the fun colours it comes in, and ever since I bought my first bag I can’t seem to stop using it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gotta love carefresh Carefresh review I buy my animals the 30L bags and they love it! I noticed with beddings such as Aspen the cages would get a odor and be less comfortable as well as making a huge mess. Carefresh has amazing odor control. Carefresh brand always has felt so softest! My only 1 complaint with it is the fact that it will become dirty fairly quickly but, as long as my pets are comfortable I don't even care about that minor issue. Many people I know whom are into pet keeping agree it is definitely one of the best! They all agree it has amazing odor control as well as being soft and, is easy for the pets to burrow in and nearly dust free! ( Marketed for guinea pig and rabbit use. Works for many more animals)

Hi my daughter has got 3 male mouse would this work with the smell I am having to get her to clean out every two days

Asked by: Mummy pets
Hello, thank you for your question. carefresh is safe to use with mice, as it is developed and manufactured specifically for small pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, chinchillas and ferrets). Plus carefresh includes 10 day odor control, so along with daily spot cleaning, odor will be controlled between bedding changes.

Is this compostable?

Asked by: Monica
Yes, you can compost the bedding. However, fecal matter in concentrations can take a long time to compost or pose health risks. Please check with compositing experts on how to most safely compost pet litters and wait 120 days before using according to published guidelines.

What is the difference between Custom and Complete?  I have a guinea pig and I do not understand the difference.

Asked by: Tamara
Custom bedding for Guinea Pigs and Rabbits has 25% larger pieces than the regular Complete bedding so it's easier for them to pile and curl up in and harder to kick out of their habitat.

I'm  hearing that the "odor stop" bedding  contains  baking soda  which is harmful  to  the  animals. Is there any truth to this?

The current carefresh odor stop bedding does not contain baking soda. We stopped adding baking soda in January of 2015.
