Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike from MY DWARF BUNNY LOVES HIS CAREFRESH BEDDING Bunny loves his soft, cozy, carefresh bedding. It is used in his clear plastic bin where he has dug two areas where he sleeps during the day and all you see are the tips of his little black ears. Carefresh bedding is also used on the floor in his cage and two litter boxes in his cage which are changed daily and cage cleaned weekly. Every Saturday while I’m cleaning his cage, I have to shut the door and he waits patiently on the floor waiting for me to finish. As soon as I open the door, he jumps in and starts rearranging the bedding to meet his satisfaction. I love Carefresh bedding because it is soft, dust free and odor absorbing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Baby Hammie from The only thing I will use for my dwarf hamsters. I Only use carefresh naturals bedding for my hamsters. It is safe and I don't have to worry about them getting poked in the eyes or nose when they burrow. We tried another brand and it caused a permanent cough in on of hamsters who ultimately had to be put down for cancer on her neck. It means so much that is safe and doesn't even aggrevate my allergies! I used this when I had guinea pigs too. I have one senior dwarf hammie named 'baby hammie' left and she has been a very happy hammie in this bedding. It is not safe for my chinchillas because they will eat it and will cause impaction but when they don't have access to bedding, it works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amwojahn from The Perfect Bedding I have had pets for years, and their comfort is the most important thing to me. Carefresh not only delivers comfort, but also peace of mind. The product is virtually dust free, so you don't have to worry about it causing an issue to your pets health. It has great order control, so if I miss a day of cleanup, I know that it isn't going to smell. It also is extremely absorbent, so I know that the bedding will not be saturated and bother my pets. If I miss a day of clean up, I know that it isn't going to smell. I cannot say enough good things about this bedding. I have tried so many and have honestly found the best one. Carefresh is the way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JSJS from Great Litter! I have 2 hamster, one dwarf hamster and one Syrain Hamster. These hamsters do not share the same cage. Anyway, in both of their cages, I use carefresh complete. Both hamsters absolutely love the bedding! They like to burrow and build "huts" with the bedding! Also, the bedding is absorbant. I would recommend that all hamster owners buy CareFresh Complete since hamsters love it! Also, I love how different litters are created for the different holidays! It makes the cage festive and allows the hamsters to participate in some of the holiday fun!!

Is it safe to use for cats instead of litter? I had to move my cat and i forgot the litter so i put some of the paper bedding in there. She used the litter box and doesnt seem bothered and it doesnt smell at all.
Yes! You can definitely use carefresh as cat litter. Did you know we actually manufacture and sell two brands of cat litter? Simply Pine and ökocat. There is one that is actually made out of paper called ökocat Dust Free Paper Litter - somewhat similar to carefresh except it is a pellet.

is there a chemical or additive that makes up the new "odor stop" formula? if not, what makes it so?
The additives used in our products for odor control are approved in the use of treating drinking water, and evaluated by third party labs using NIH (National Institute of Health) testing protocol for animal safety.

What if your pet eats it?
As with any change to your pet's environment, there is a potential risk of impaction if your pet ingests a significant amount of its bedding. If you suspect impaction, discontinue use immediately and seek veterinary care. Always monitor your pet very closely at first after changing to a new bedding to see if they will possibly ingest it.

Is it safe to use for snakes?
carefresh was developed for small animals only so we always suggest checking with your local reptile vet first before using it for an off label use such as reptiles, especially due to their eating habits.
